Visible Mending Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to darning, the sewing technique of repairing holes in cloth with needle and thread alone. The intention is usually to make the mend blend into the cloth, but with a visible mending approach we use color to celebrate the life and wear of the garment.
All materials will be provided and everyone will go home with an embroidery hoop and complete mending kit. No experience necessary!

Workshop is limited to 5 spaces, located in my Hartford CT studio (specific instructions will be sent after registration closes). Studio is accessible by stairs and elevator. Masks optional.

Starting in March, there will be one scholarship spot each month on a first-come, first-serve basis.
